Trails
The Conejo Valley is fortunate to have an extensive natural open space and trail system. There are nearly 15,250 acres of protected open space within Thousand Oaks' city limits. COSCA currently owns and/or manages approximately 12,400 acres of that open space and maintains more than 150 miles of trails for hiking, biking and equestrian use.
Our trails link local neighborhoods with open space areas, and provide regional trail connections to trails in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and adjacent cities.
Planning a group hike? If you are interested in visiting COSCA open space with a group of 25 or more individuals, reservations are required (COSCA Ordinance, Section 226). Reservations are available by contacting the Conejo Recreation and Park District -- click to call 805-495-6471.
